Among the favorites of tea addicts, we often overlook the few and simple tips for preparing it to perfection. But the perfect green tea exists and is very simple to prepare. A few solid rules are indeed enough to appreciate a green tea in all its glory. Are we really sure we know them all?

Green tea: the convenience of pyramid infusions

Green tea, unlike other types of tea, does not require long infusion times, so the filter is definitely the most convenient choice compared to loose leaves, which require sieving. The brand new Dersut Pyramid Filters (discover them all in our online shop!) offer many advantages over traditional fanning cut bags. The reason for the pyramidal shape lies in the infusion process: it is at this moment that the tea releases all its flavor, aroma, color. The larger size of this innovative filter gives the leaves more space, allowing them to soak better and fully expand, releasing all the beneficial virtues of the infusion. Moreover, the pyramids have the aesthetic advantage of making the experience more pleasant compared to standard infusions, thus enjoying the sweet spectacle of green tea leaves dancing suspended in water.

The tools for preparing the perfect green tea

In China, there's a saying that "quality tools are more important than food". Even in the case of green tea, using the appropriate utensils, you can both enjoy a more aesthetically impactful scenery and highlight the unique characteristics of the leaves and the drink.
Using pyramid filters, we don't need many tools to prepare the perfect green tea. It will be enough to equip ourselves with a few – but indispensable – objects, which we all have at home. In this case, the best teapots and cups for green tea infusion are those made of transparent glass, or alternatively, those made of white porcelain. Complete the set with a saucer to place the used filter, a linen napkin, and perhaps some homemade sweets. And voilà!

Green tea: the procedure to prepare it without mistakes

Unlike black tea, green tea is made from natural leaves that have not undergone oxidation or fermentation. When we want to enjoy an excellent cup of green tea, it is therefore crucial to pay attention to the water temperature, in order to preserve all its organoleptic characteristics intact. Here is the detailed procedure for preparing a perfect green tea:
1. Heat 250 ml of water per cup and prepare one filter per person. Always use fresh water, avoiding using leftover water from previous preparations.
2. Heat the water to 80°C, never exceeding 90°C. How? With a bit of experience, you'll quickly learn the right moment – just before boiling begins – to turn off the heat. Alternatively, bring the water to a boil and wait 5 minutes before starting the infusion, so it cools to the right temperature.
3. Leave the filter to infuse until the desired aromatic intensity is reached, usually between 1 and 3 minutes
4. Remove the used filters from the cup or teapot.
5. Serve as desired: plain, with added lemon, or sweetening to taste, according to preference.

Green Tea is excellent as a thirst-quenching drink, especially when temperatures rise in summer and the risk of dehydration is always around the corner! Now that you've discovered all the tips for preparing it without mistakes, you won't be able to do without your daily green tea! I also enjoy it cold, once it has cooled down, or I flavor it by preparing a healthy detox water. How do you prefer it?
